Project Objectives

. Design and develop a Voice User Interface (VUI) tailored to radiologists, improving their workflow efficiency and overall user experience.
. Implement a User-Centered Design (UCD) approach to ensure the voice assistant meets the specific needs and preferences of medical professionals in a high-stakes environment.
. Enhance the usability and accessibility of radiological tools by integrating intuitive voice commands and reducing reliance on manual interfaces.
. Contribute to the innovation of healthcare technology by providing a solution that supports radiologists in delivering faster and more accurate diagnostics.
. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the VUI aligns with Siemens Healthineers' commitment to cutting-edge and user-focused healthcare solutions.

My Role & Project Overview

During my LCI master's internship at Siemens Healthineers (2023), I had the privilege of contributing to an innovative project focused on developing a Voice User Interface (VUI) for radiologists. This endeavor aimed to create an intuitive and efficient voice assistant, with a strong emphasis on User-Centered Design, to improve the workflow and enhance the overall user experience for medical professionals. In this project, I served as an integral member of the UX team, where I played a pivotal role in the development of a cutting-edge project focused on redesigning a Voice User Interface (VUI) for radiologists. Additionally, I took on the role of an industrial designer, where I was responsible for designing a smart light for radiologists. My responsibilities encompass extensive research, user empathy, design, and usability testing. Working closely with the UX team, I applied my skills in user-centered design and collaborated across various disciplines to contribute to this innovative project.

Since this concept has yet to be in the market, I cannot share specific project details due to legal constraints. My role at Siemens Healthineers revolved around a robust, user-centered design process. It included comprehensive research, ideation, prototyping, and usability testing. I'm eager to provide more detailed insights during the interview about my contributions and the project's impact. This experience equipped me with the ability to create intuitive voice interfaces and emphasized the significance of cross-team collaboration. My skills and understanding of aligning design solutions with user needs will be an asset in future projects.
